Over the past six months Erik McDowell has portrayed a
filmmaker dying of bone cancer, a lover betrayed by those closest
to him and a young man suffering from AIDS. Dennis Wade in “In
Memorium” marks his second starring role in a feature following
the independent film “Tre”, directed by Eric Byler, currently on the
indie circuit.
Erik began his career on the New York stage where he quickly
segued into film, starring in such independent shorts as the
award winning “So, What Do You Think?” directed by Darren
Goldberg.
He has since relocated to Los Angeles where he continues to
build his film and television repertoire, first as a guest star on
“Cold Case,” and on subsequent award-winning independents
such as “Wide Awake in Nothing” directed by Paul Lingas.
Erik is managed by David Guc and Lil Laouri of Vanguard

Johanna Watts was almost born on a Greyhound bus on its way to
Tennessee. Instead, she waited long enough to get to a mountain
shack, with no electricity, where she was actually born.
Growing up with her mother in North Florida, Johanna quickly grew to
rely on her imagination for companionship and entertainment. At age
seven, she began following the winding path of an actress,
performing in local theatres and in school. At 14, she was
diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. During the next six
months of chemotherapy, she helped create a theater club in her
high school and relied on performance for relief from the pain and as
a way of educating younger children about her disease while
entertaining them.
Immediately after high school, Johanna landed her first film role,
starring in the PBS film “Catherine’s Story.” She spent several years
performing on stage and in independent films including “Lone Star
Struck “and “The Falls” in Austin, Texas and later, New York. In 2003,
she made the leap to Los Angeles, and began working in television,
guest starring on “Cold Case,” “CSI: Miami,” and “Star Trek
Enterprise.” Working on “In Memorium” provided her first opportunity
to work in the horror genre.
